Last year when election for US presidential post was going on , whole world was watching it very keenly. In this president election not only Americans were involved but world population was divided in to two side. That is Clinton and Obama and afterward Obama verses
In this election I have noticed that out side of USA three kind of people were very much interested and they were supporting president Obama till their teeth. First I would like to mention here Canadian .I do not know What Mr George Bush has done wrong with country that in this president election Canadian were more critical of Bush then Mr Obama it self . Few of press reporters even forget their limitation and they named Bush as Moron. So Canadian were fighting for Obama. But once Obama became president next day he gave a sweet gift to Canada terming as Canadian oils as dirty oil. Bu they never stopped buying this crude oil. He criticized This just to blackmail Canada. Then He stared talking about Buy American. I would have appreciated this if this has been done to help USA economy. But their intention were different. Under this policies they never stooped buying from china, but they stop ed buying thing from Canada. Indirectly USA pharmaceuticals have been told to make Generics in USA it self to buy it from Canada. Then Targeted Pork and a long list of such products is there.
Second more aggressive supporter of Mr Obama were Pakistani. Now every body can see that what is going on in Pakistan. Thousands of Innocent Muslims have been killed Bomb attacks. By intervening in internal affair of Pakistan Mr Obama has made this country a mess. I do not why Mr Obama is doing with his supporter.

I remember the day of first week of November 1984.I was about 10 year old and I was at local Gurudwara watching the labors painting walls. They were busy decorating Gurudawar because all Sikhs celebrate Guru Nanak birth day with special Joy. It was a day off for me school I do not why but I remember that day. A cricket match was going on Between India and Pakistan. There was a Big House just opposite to GuruDawar where one of my friend was listening live commentary of this match. So Like other any Indian Kid I was keeping an ear on the match as well. It was about 12 noon when I asked Guy in Balcony about the Score. Some Killed Indira Gandhi. Perhaps After Aurangzeb ,Gandhi Family is most hated by Sikhs. So I exclaimed with joy and run towards my house. I shouted form the Main door . Mom mom Some one has killed Indira Gandhi. Who Will leave you live.Mother replied and asked me to keep my mouth shut. At that time I did not understand the mom saying, but I realized after two days.Not me but all Sikhs of that village realized that enemy congress wont leave them . We were listening news and we heard the news of burning Sikhs as well. Sikh of village about 30 families decided to fight the congress men collectively till last breath, so they gathered themselves in a Big Haveli. This was a Haveli of Sikh Numbedar ,there were more then Dozen rooms in other words It was like a mini forte. So now all Sikhs were in this Haveli. They started making their food here and collectively eating and preparing for coming events.Though I was ten year old but still remember.We ere getting news constantly about Sikh genocide from Different parts of India. Every day was our last day. After two days fear was gone. All the Sikh in haveli looks like got victory our death. Death was not worrying any body. They only thing was worrying now was who will take how many congress people ,when they attack Haveli.Government officers were on toes to give Rajiv Gandhi there reports that how many Sikhs they have killed . But Now body dared to enter in village. Fifth day One police jeep came and asked all Sikhs to vacate the Haveli, but we denied to do so. So they left. Next day the again came back and said that your shops are on fire so come with us and recognize you shops. What a silly it was . One of the Policeman who was a regular customer of a Sikh businessman and got help from this Sikh came and Said. Sardarjee Please Do not go to town. What ever my officer say but do not come along with us. Actually they are planning to kill some Sikhs so that they can report to their hierarchy that they have killed some Sikhs. Every day they came with new planning but we decided not to go. Other favorable condition was that almost all the Hindu stood by us and they told us not to leave village. So Congress people did not dare to enter the village due to fear of locals and preparation of Sikhs. Media was busy in spreading Venom against Sikhs. After 15 days Army was out in town and We decided to migrate to Punjab Via Rajasthan.So Now we were in Punjab. After reaching Punjab we found that many relatives died to Congress atrocities. I can not forget those days. I do not how Man Mohan Singh and Sarana are saying to forget this. We lost all of our business and land.but still I consider that I lost least. What about the people who lost whole families.

For me it is alwaysdiffiicult to read news paper in First week of Novmebr. This week local media during this week carry the reports of Sikh mascare in delhi and other parts of country in 1984 .Same thing happened this time . Stories carried out by Daily Ajit were horrible and I did not dare to read those. But hight of yellow journilsm noticed in English news papers like Time of Indian, who shamelessly ignored and did put even a single report. On other hand editores kept on singing for Indira Gandhi. This times Sikhs came forward and they held protest in organised manner so that Poeple on higher post can listen some thing, but due to media this voice lost some where. Akalidal Also came with Ardass Diwas purposal and with in week again people came out on road to protest and express angiuse. I think every Body other then congress blamed congress for this genocide. One of the sikh Hardliner Harnam Singh Blamed Rajive Gandhi for this Genocide. I agree with his statement. at that time Rajive Gandhi was Head of Congress and when press reporters asked about this sikh mascare , he replied very proudly that when any tree fells earth Shooks. SO it means it was planned genocide and Rajive Gandhi was Don of this. There is no doubt that Congress was master organiser in this episode,probaly thats why they did not participated any fo fuctions organized by Sikhs in memory od deads. When EVery they make big hue and cry for the killing of muslims in Gujrat where 900 Muslims killed .But here abou 7000 people got killed but congress never bothered. They Have a spine less prime minister also who neve speaks any thing which is not dictated by Sonia Gandhi.

I remember the days when in Punjab Indian Army was carrying out blue start operation and Indian Army was given a permission to kill any one who has beard and Turban. All was free and thousands of people killed in name of terrorists. I remember when Mrs Gandhi Said that Some hand full people are behind this terrorist wave, but she killed almost 10,000 people stating them as terrorist. I still wonder how come hand full people turned in to 10,000. Then day comes when this So called Iron lady paid the price for her atrocities. I am not celebrating her death, being a human I felt sorry for her. 25 years back she fell to the bullets of Two young Sikh soldiers. you can imagine the anguish of these soldiers that they emptied their stain gun to make sure that she is dead.Today Evey body is talking about her death( Only media) It is regrettable that none of the writers, while writing about emergency, writes about peaceful opposition of emergency by RSS. More than one lakh of RSS volunteers were put into jail without any fault on their part. Surely RSS was the weakest chain for Indira Gandhi to show its might. . The rest of India and media simply bowed before her might. When emergency was lifted, then also it were RSS workers who worked day and night for the then opposition. But these so called socialist destroyed the unity and played into the hands of Indira Gandhi.The other who opposed were Sikh in Punjab. Due to this opposition Sikhs paid the price and Mrs Gandhi Demolished the Golden temple and Akaltakhat, thinking that she will silence these Sikhs .But She made mistake and paid a price for that. I am sorry for her because for a stupid decision she lost her life.Her Son also followed her footsteps and after the death Mrs Gandhi he ordered genocides of Sikh shamelessly. After the death of Gandhi nothing happened, then rajiv Gandhi called a meeting with congressmen and Said if Sikhs were given 24 hours they would have won the world and you guys are not able to kill even a single Sikh. and openly he justified the killing saying that when a big tree fell Earth shakes.That is different thing that this big tree is also gone, without shaking earth.
My motive behind writing all this is not to justify the killing of Gandhi, but same time found her mistakes far outnumbered her achievements.Her Mistakes make Indian to pay.So i do not see any reason to remeber her .

Bhindrawala A Saint Soldier

Recently in Punjab once again the Saint Bhindrawala is in News. Previously When SGPC announced Bhindrawala as a Sikh Hero and installed a huge portrait. At that time many organisation came forward to welcome this while at the same time one man organization Shivsena Hindustan opposed it and still trying to do that. Congress a young leader Ravneet Bittu also recently drawn flank by opposing the stickers and poster of Saint Bhindrawala . I do not why these guys are out to disturb the Punjab Harmony. These people knew very well then Saint Bhindrawala has a special status in Sikh minds. They should realize that there is no way they can fade the memories of Saint Bhindrawala . There only purpose for creating this flur is to win Hindu votes. They knew very well Hindu vote can be scared by just raising the Khalistan issue. That is different thing that they blame Badal Government, they also knew that what the benefit they will get.

Unfortunately people are not aware about this . Especially Hindu who are congress pet vote bank. They knew it that who was behind this movement , but still they vote for congress. Ironically Akali dal always remained in between two , because Hindu population never voted for this party thinking as Sikh party, while hardliners did not vote because they think that this is not a Sikh party.Punjab every assembly section has a about 1500 votes , who are considered as hardliners and they always vote for congress. Even congress welcome previous Khalistani firebrands in their party . Mofer is a living example . So this shows that these people who opposing Bhindrawala , pictures and stickers are doing just for Hindu vote Bank . Some where being a Sikh they also have a respect for Saint Bhindrawala in one corner of the heart. Other wise they would have opposed every body who is connected with this stream.

Further more it almost next generation who is adopting Bhindrawala as their Hero so this shows that now bhindrawala has secured his place among Sikh hero's. No body can now tarnish the image of Bhindarawala in Sikh minds. So people should refrain themselves to start such controversies just for votes.

In India there is belief that if you vultures on building that means owner of the house in mess and soon he/she is going to see bad times. Now a days there are vultures on Indian Industry and these are Unions. Yes these so called trade unions are vultures on Indian trades and due to these Unions Indian Industry is seeing Hard time. These unions are leaded by Trade leaders who are mostly corrupt . I remember when I was young and joined a pharmaceutical industry as a skilled labourer.Owner of this factory termed union as a leach which which grow on blood of Labour and industry . At that time I took this statement as arrogant industrialist who hates his labour, I think at that time i was on receiving end. Then I heard that some of the permanent worker and union leader are getting some under the table money. I think Owner was paying this to run production smooth. Later relation between management and union started deteriorating and due slump in business company was not able to pay under the table money. We were happy because now every body was getting same.Suddenly we got a call from union that if there no wages hike workers will go on strike. Every body loves to get hike but at this time I was smelling a rat.This all was happening because union leader were not getting that money. So We went on strike and company shut down for forever, I was a skilled laborer so I got another job, but I have seen other labourers who were working in air conditioner without much physical work, now were puling Rickshaw in month of June. It was painful for me. That day own word I decided never to join a union. This is the not only example. While my stay in Industrial Area Faridabad I have seen hounded of such example where these arrogant union leader made laborers to sleep hungry on nights.I remember the fourth grade of Punjab electricity board enjoying luxurious status, because he was a union leader .I never seen him working.While on duty I can see him playing cards with other union leaders and board was hiring temporary workers to get their work done.
Now if US auto Industry is dying , there is no other reason. The only reason I see that GM and other giants are now ruled by Unions and even a lower grade technician is getting 35 $ per hour and working with less efficiency because he is union workers, while competitors are paying less for the same job because they are new and unions are not strong enough in their Factories. I have seen a report which says that these big giants are paying too much to their workers for some petty jobs.Same jobs can be done on half price if they are getting it done form out side.
Now other side if we see china why they are successfully and are able to produce cheap products. Because there are no trade unions . Workers have to work on the rates what the Govt has set up. And they have to work . No strikes, no slow down. Work or otherwise face action.Industry is surviving and able to give work to every body.

Manipulating Democarcy !!!!

recently in three Indian states people expressed their vote of right to elect a new government . Though this election process is termed as democracy, means people are electing their favourite candidates, but to me it looks like people have fooled by Indian politician. Because this process of democracy can easily be manipulated. People say that party makes the government which get maximum number of votes, but to me in Indian style politics party makes the government which is rejected by maximum number of people. If we see last parliamentary election, Manmohan Singh government was opposed by about 63 % people and was able to get only 37 % of total vote bank .So majority who voted against congress are just leaking their wounds .Same thing is going to happen in these assembly elections. opposition is divided and in total they will get more vote then ruling party.So majority will loose here. In India its very easy to manipulate democracy. Like in last Punjab election only one sect changed the whole political scene. because they constitute about 13% of total population and this population,s religious sentiments were hijacked by sect leader to full fill his political ambitions.Same thing happened in Parliamentary election. Some of the BJP leaders came forward and given a foolish statement that Modi will be our next prime minister and that worked as glue among minority which constitute about 18% of total Indian population. They gathered on single plate form and voted for a single party which bailed out Congress party. I am pretty much sure if those BJP leaders have avoided those foolish statements, results would have been different.
So I was saying it is very easy to manipulate results by using little brain , If India needs a true democracy then they have to adopt two party system so that only genuine winner can make a government.

Recently one news item caught my eye , where the heir apparent of India Rahul Gandhi Was pissed over our media,s reaction towards Pakistan internal condition. According to Rahul Gandhi Indian media is paying attention towards Pakistan double then it deserved. I was astonished by Rahul Gandhi's statement. I think this young man is in hurry to take over PMO , that's why he wants to dictate his parties policies to media. Now he wants media to ignore what ever Pakistan is doing with India. because it might hurt his vote bank sentiments. I want to tell Rahul that the day USA is out of Pakistan your boarders will no more secure. Pakistani Jihadi will fight will double power to take over Kashmir from India. Right now they are not able to execute their plans because its always hard for any body to fight against their own fellow countrymen Once they do not have any resistance they will be free to take on India for which they wont have any restrictions . So this becomes out must necessary to show our fuss over Pakistan. In My opinion Indian should fuss over Pakistan and China more aggressively so that we can keep them away from our boarders. India has been ruled by congress for 45 years and in these years we were not able to built rail or even road network along with boarders. China has six lane roads in Tibet along with Indian borders while Indian military is still using pony. I am sure if some thing goes wrong with sino India ties India have to pay for their aloof policies with China. Main Indian politiccal parties are behaving like pigeon who close eye by seeing Cat thinking that now cat can not see him. Our Again I want to tell this grown OK Kid please stop this tugalaki statements and use some common sense, while issuing such statements .

Defination of terrorists !!!!!

Recently Prime minister Manmohan Singh Given a strange statement saying that Nexlites are not terrorists. I do not know the exact intention of Dr Singh behind this statement, but for sure this statement is going to fuel a new debate that what is definition of terrorists. and why nexalites are excluded from this terrorist definition. Recently they have killed about 35 policemen in Maharashtra and they have this type of crime many times. They have killed one police informer in Taliban style. With in last weak they have uprooted railway track at least dozen times. They burned down many government offices and railway stations. Particularly in central India condition are like swat Vally of Pakistan. People are fleeing from rural area for safer places. I do not know home minister and prime minister want more from nexlites to get them recognized as terrorists. I think here also government is playing a politics . By showing sympathy with nexlites congress wants to make a dent in to small vote bank of left parties so that they can claim them self a largest secular party.
I just want to ask from Mr Singh that what the difference between Kasmiri militants and nexlites and why first ones are branded as terrorists.

Though India is proud to be most educated prime minister and he considered as gentleman in Indian politics. But it looks like that politics is giving colours to our prime minister. To remain in high lights he started talking like ordinary politicians .

Recently while in Pittsburgh, to attend the G-20 summit, our Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh said there is no economic crisis in India. Such optimism could well be a case of gross overestimation of the Indian economy. During this year, India’s growth plummeted from over 8 per cent to 5.5.per cent. India’s exports fell from a 10.4 per cent growth in September 2008 to minus 33.2 per cent in the first quarter of 2009.

Nearly 12 lakh jobs have already been lost in the export-oriented sectors. It is estimated that over 30 lakh jobs will be lost in the organised sector alone by the end of 2009. In the unorganised sector the job loss is bound to be much higher.

Besides, starvation deaths and farmers’ suicides continue to haunt the country.I do not know about which country Mr Singh was talking .I would like to suggest Mr Singh that please do not consider spam emails as your source of information. Real situation is different The situation can be reversed only if concerted efforts are made to build public infrastructure, create jobs and increase the purchasing power of the people.

Why Discrimination with Punjab !!!

Yesterday while reading a leading Punjabi daily Ajit, two headlines from front page drawn my attention. One was a report by veteran Punjabi Report Hukamchand Sharma that Punjab cotton growers are paid 100Rs less by central procurement agencies than the Haryana and Rajsthan Farmers.This press report made big hue and cry about this discrimination. While in second headline Prime minster while addressing in Ambala a poll gathering said that to get full advantages of central developments people should choose congress governments in states. This was a pain full statement.It looks like he was stamping discrimination made by central government in Punjab either it was paddy procurement or cotton procurements. This was a stringed away blackmailing .I want to tell Mr Manmohan singh that he is prime minster of Indian not just for congress .So he is answerable to every body whether they voted for Mr Singh or not. He should stop using this threatening language. What does this mean if People of haryana government choose some one else then they wont get funds from central Government. This is ridiculous. No body expects such statements from y Singh.
Central government should come forward and should give equal prices for cotton for Punjab farmers as well. They should not discriminated on behalf of that state have chosen a different political party to govern them.

Indians in sleeping mode !!

It looks like India is in sleeping mode. Enemies around the corner are building up and our congress led government is terming is as mere media hype. Yes this is true. China is now coming up openly to break up India in to parts, but over leaders just sleeping .
Very first when reports from Chinese media came about dividing India in to 20-30 parts , no body objected on it. Then Chinese started intruding our borders,Government did nothing.When China was building pressure through incursions --1,040 times last year and 270 times this year besides incursions by helicopter -- to establish itself as a superpower, New Delhi was regrettably terming it as a media hype.
Further more china has started giving separate Visa for Kasmiries it is almost recognizing as Kashmir as Independent nation.Now they are panning to divert Brahmaputra River, if their plans came true all Eastern states will be drought hit all the time.
On the other hand government is sticking to same policies adopted by Nehru due to which we lost to china in 1962. No wonder if same thing happen again.Now its time for Indian people to com forward.If China can think of giving Visa to Kashmiris separately, then we should do the SAME for Tibetans, Hong Kong residents, Urumquis, etc. We should strengthen our bond with Taiwan, and recognize them officially. Tibet needs to be liberated. Tibetans need to be supported. Let us stop using Chinese products, stop selling to them, stop business with them. If they do not treat India as a friend, we have no business to bend before them and try to please them. SHOW SOME SPINE, Mr. Prime Minister. We have had enough of cowardice to please these anti-India states.

I am big fan of on line edition of Times of India and I think this one of most popular newspaper website used by oversee Indians. This was the one of the best way to remain contacted with motherland. Whether it is cricket or Politics or cartoon this was an excellent source of information for all oversee Indians. But recently due to Times of India group due to greed of money has made this website almost unreadable. This website has been flooded by advertisements posted by management. These pop up adds are becoming pain for readers. When ever they try to read any news, first they have to see that adv. This is not enough , It is OK once you are ready to read or see that adv, but these pops keep on bothering readers. So now every reader is spending 75% of its time to get off from these adv.
I do not why this cash reach company has adopted this cheap way of making money. I do not know how much money Times group is fetching from these advertisements, but I am pretty much sure they are loosing reader.
I would like to request Times group that please keep this newspaper readable and please remove these Banner and pop up advertisements from website .

Google placed Gandhi picture on their search tool bar and for this would given every Indian a moment to proud, Gandhi remained lifeline of Indian freedom struggle, though this contribution remained contentious issue but very small section of people approved these kind of controversies.Gandhi and Nehru's role in Part ion remained always dubious, even some people insisted that Gandhi and Nehru were responsible for part ion. because they were seeing Mr Jinnah coming up as main contender for Prim minstership
. Since Mr Jinnah was favourite among Muslim populations well as in a section of Hindus,so there were 100 % chances of becoming Jinnah as prime minster of united India.Being a prudent politician Nehru then masterminded the portion so that vote bank of Jinnah can separated out .Political scenario of country was same as today. But I do not see fault of Sonia and Quattrochi or Manmohan. They have been voted by Indian people to power to do this thing . I am pretty much sure that person who knew what is bofors he also knew that how the congress is hand and glove with Mr quattrochi. I was reading Indian express and Times of India reports about latest development. There were about 200 comments about this and none of was happy about this. I think Indian population if not getting justice from courts , do not get electricity, do not get drinking water do not have good road and get kicked by Even their meek neighboring countries like Nepal and Bangla desh . Recently he did this drama in Chennai. he said he will travel by AC chair car So make his drama Successful his 12 bulletproof cars air lifted to Chennai by a special Air force plane. which coasted Indian air force lakhs of dollars. Same thing happened when he reached Ludhiana by Shatabdi. All average passengers were fuming due to his extra ordinary security arrangements. They offered to pay for rahul air fare to keep him away form Shatabdi.So that average Indian can travel with comfort.
Mr Rahul,s drama is like Amitab bachan is acting like poor man in a movies, but still it cost billion to producer. So I would like to request Mr rahul that instead of doing drama he should do some creative so that common man can get some advantage. He should come forward to set up fast track courts as Modi did it in Gujrat. There are several fields which needs attention. Having a dinner with a homeless will not benefit that poor man because he is getting food only for that day when Rahul is in.Other days who will arrange his food because the cadre who arrange this drama just disappears as Rahul from scene .

Either it was a Kabbadi team or Hockey national team 5-6 players use to be from Punjab. Asian champion Hockey team once has all players from Punjab . Even in Indian army maximum % was coming form Punjab, but now a days hardly you will find any Punjabi player in team and very few at recruitment center for Army. This is happening because Punjab is slowly loosing its wealth as well health.In 1800 English people flooded china with opium to to ruin its health and wealth. Same thing is happening here, but here they do not have any enemy but Punjabi themselves are ahead in spoilage there kids

They found a marvelous way to kill spiritualism in Punjab .They started praising druggist and alcoholism .Earlier songs use to praise Bhagta singh, but now they start ted praising Bhajan amali. I have seen that Only in Punjabi culture alcohol and drugs got VIP status, other wise these evils have been condemned by all cultures.I am very shocked to read this Singer like Gurdass Mann came forward to promote alcoholism. His Song Apana Punjan hove and Ghar dee Sharab howe is played in all Punjabi Drawing rooms. I am not sure wheat her Gurdass Mann him self will give his Kids this Sharab or not ( Alcohol)I think these Singer are selling this drug propaganda to make money. Gurdass Mann is not alone in this movement almost all singer came with one or two songs devoted to alcohol. In Punjabi Songs Bhagat Singh has been replaced by A Jat with Sharab Bottle.
I think theses singer are not helping them self by promoting alcohol, but also alcohol manufacturers.
Punjab now consume 57 % of the total alcohol production of India. Forget about home distilleries
I would like to appeal all Punjabi singer please in the name of Punjabi culture do not kill it. come forward to denies alcohol and drugs .

Another Jolt by Anti Punjab Regime

Once again Congress led Central government of India has shown its anti Punjab policies by coming up openly against its City Development plans. Actually this is not a Punjab government plan,but a central government plan in which central government provides state government about 1400 crore Rupees for Urban Development. Under this Punjab Government has also requested this grant for urban development. Initially Government issued first instalment to Punjab government and state government implicated this plan whole heartily and a visible difference can be noticed in Punjab cities like Bhatinda , Amritsar and jalandhar. This helped ruling party to expand its base in urban areas , which considered as a basically rural Party.
This became a digestive problem for central Government. Jiapal ready who is well known for Anti Punjab Policies who is also a minister for Urban development has sent a letter to Punjab Government threatening that Grant will be not issued until punjab Government ask its residents to pay house tax. Ministry is well aware that house tax can not be collected because for this first you have to provide some facilities to the residents. This is not fare to collect money for the amenities which have to be provided.
Congress led government is well aware that if Sukhbir Badal development policies are allowed to implicated abruptly it will become hard for factionalism hunted congress to regain power in Punjab. These development projects can not be halted in other way and now they decided to abrupt development funds Earlier also central government issued billion dollars package to farmers of Maharashtra and UP , but did release a single penny for Punjab , while Punjab share 60% of total contribution to the total agriculture produce. Same thing while other provinces are given Industrial subsidies while Punjab has been deprived of it that is different thin 48 % of any product is sold in Punjab.
I do not why this congress has some ill wishes for Punjab.

Punjab has a history of struggle. Some one said history repeats it self and this saying is more true about Punjab.Punjab has emerged once again best over all state since 2003.Punjabi's being "aggressive and progressive by nature". Though there was no electricity no water no rain but they came up once again outstanding I marvel at the entrepreneurship of our people. Punjab does not have no iron ore but have a successful steel industry in Mandi Gobindgarh, no wool but a booming hosiery industry in Ludhiana, no willow but a renowned sports industry in Ludhiana."
The strong foundation for Punjab's success was laid decades back. The head start in agriculture apart, a vast network of roads built in the state has kept villages connected to cities and mandis. The state, however, is cash strapped, with debts mounting to Rs 40,000 crore, a falling standard of education and a poor power situation. Badals, though, refuses to take the blame. According to them , previous governments has not done any thing but this is true that What could not be achieved in six decades Punjab has done in just two. They are working to add capacity with four thermal power plants in Talwandi Sabo, Rajpura, Gidderbaha and Goindwal Sahib
Govt talks the passing of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Act, approval to 16 SEZs and 49 mega projects sanctioned since March 2007, stating that these will bring in an investment of Rs 36,574 crore.In last three years in whole country projects brought for electricity approved are less than the project brought by Punjab Government alone. This shows the aggressive ness.But These plan has too be executed properly otherwise every thing will be in soup .Two year back Punjab was 23 on tax collection not it stands at 3 rd. two years back Punjab was short of 33ooo teacher short now they are short with 12000 teachers. There is no doubt young Sukhbir Badal is working aggressively on development agenda, but people need results. In My opinion Government should take only those projects in Hand which can be completed in time so that people can take advantages of this. In this aggression Perhaps Sukhbir forget that for all these projects need money and he should not expect any thing from union govt being Anti Punjab.

Every body was anxious when congress decided to make Manmohan Singh a Sikh as a prime minister.One of my friend came up with a statement saying that he is smelling a rat in this move. He said when Congress made Swaran Singh as foreign Minster Nirankari episode happened.Then made Jail Singh a president followed by Blue star operation. Now They Made Manmohan Singh as prime Minster, Some thing is bad going to happen . I took his statement as a statement by a person who always thinks in negative way. But Now I am feeling in same way. When Manmohan Singh became a prime minister Sacha Sauda sect openly started defaming SIKH gurus as Nirnkari people did, and Congress came forward openly in favour of Sacha Sauda .Then Some people started taking about separate Sikh gurudawar Committee for Haryana .Now Chandigarh is taken away from Punjab. in Other Term congress led Union Government kicked out Punjab Governor form Chandigarh Administration.
In a move full of stealth and with shocking timing, India's Congress-led central government under a Sikh Prime Minister has decided to further dilute Punjab's claims over Chandigarh by deciding that on November 16 onwards, the charge of Chandigarh shall rest no more with the Governor of Punjab and the city will be ruled by a Chief Commissioner to be appointed by the Union Home Ministry.
At a time when the ruling Akali Dal was busy in Shimla brain storming its policies , the Union Home Ministry's decision has sent shock waves through all those who have always seen Punjab as the natural inheritor of Chandigarh. Coming close on the heels of a move to turn Punjab University into a Central one, the decision will deal a body blow to Punjab's claims on the Union Territory.
Punjab Governor has been also the Administrator for Chandigarh since the mid-1980s but once the tenure of the incumbent governor, Gen SF Rodrigues (retd), ends on November 16, the Chief Commissioner to be appointed by the centre without any consultation with Punjab will bring the direct control of the Home Ministry over the Chandigarh Administration.
Union Home Secretary GK Pillai has confirmed the move saying, “We will revert back to the old pattern once the tenure of the present Governor of Punjab ends”. A secretary-level officer would be posted as the Chief Commissioner. Some powers enjoyed by the Governor in his capacity as Administrator could possibly be handed over to one of the junior ministers in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
In the mid-1980s, the circumstances of militancy in Punjab had necessitated a change in the system of governance of Chandigarh. The Punjab Governor was given dual charge of the Administrator of Chandigarh to provide better coordination between the police and the administration of Punjab and Chandigarh.
Jolted by the development, Punjab CM Prakash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal rushed to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday to protest against the move bnut it is not clear whether even the Union Ministry had taken the PM into confidence before moving ahead on the Chandigarh issue.I am pretty much sure that Mr Pm came to know about this movement by reading news paper or informed by Badals (It has been seen that congress never taken its prime minster in to confidence while taking some important decisions like giving away Ticket to Sajjan kumar.Helplessness of Manmohan Singh can be noticed that being a Prime minster he was not able to declare a penny as Package to debit ridden punjab, while all minster perfer their home state for any kind of projects, whether it was railway mistery or agriculture.There is no doubt that congress is using Mr singh,s shoulders to shoot its anti Punjab policies.
Manmohan Singh may be a worried man now since his approval ratings in Punjab are likely to take a strong hit if Chandigarh's control was snatched away from the governor's hands so suddenly. The immediate provocation for the move is unclear but long time experts of Punjab politics said the increasingly secular nature of the politics of the Akali Dal is responsible for it as the Centre thinks the Akalis can no longer exhort the people to stand up for Punjab's issues as they themselves have given up on the many core agenda issues for which at one stage thousands went to jail at the call of the Akali Dal.
Ironically, The Tribune newspaper led a strong pitch for taking away the charge of Chandigarh from Punjab Governor and even claimed credit for it in a front page report, saying that it took the "lead in seeking the change in governance and demanding that the Chief Commissioner system be restored."

During my four years in the Canada , I used to read every 'feel-good' report about India with great pride.Prime minister is always taking about development. Recently I was reading a news Item in leading daily stating Prime minster that we do not need food grain. I think this is true for Manmohan family because he is getting food from her medame, but hundred of Indians going to bed empty stomach. Sugar is out of reach for even average families forget poor people.
Man mohan is taking about GDP growth but villages are not getting electricity for days, no drinking water. There were articles and articles about how India is riding the wave of a telecoms revolution, how it has become world's choice back-office destination, how infrastructure had improved, how the middle class is swelling, how it is all set to be another super power etc, etc.
Circa 2009. I return home with moderate expectations. To my great shock and dismay, nothing has changed! It is status quo 1997!
In the month of May, people were dying because of a sweltering heat wave. Hundreds of thousands of poor villagers traversed miles to get drinking water.
The monsoon first played truant in June and July and many farmers committed suicide in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. When it began, it made up for the delay with a vengeance and wreaked havoc in Bihar (now, people drowned in the flood waters as ministers took aerial surveys).
One spell of heavy rains and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway was full of potholes (it does not need a genius to figure out the sad plight of the interior roads).
Electricity plays hide-and-seek as usual in Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad (touted as India's Silicon Valleys) Punjab the richest state and in many other places all over India.
Tap water is so filthy that one is forced to drink bottled water (though one is not sure how safe that is).
Pollution, which has reached record-breaking heights, is causing serious health problems.
Traffic jams are the order of the day.
The news of militants killing people in Kashmir is de rigueur in the news pages.
I don't think I need to say more.
Instead, I would like to pose a question: Wasn't all this happening in 1997 (or, for that matter, in 1947)? So, what's changed?
Oh yes, some things have.
Instead of Ambassadors, Fiats and Maruti Suzukis, Santros, Qualises, Accords, Ikons, Corollas and Mercedes are jostling for space on the same potholed roads (even as they emit tons and tons of pollutants)!
Almost everyone sports a snazzy mobile phone.
Malls are very much a part of the metro culture.
There is a mad rush for designer flats and row houses.
Television and print media are vying to out-do each other in 'yellow journalism.'
'Ladies bars' are no longer restricted to the metros.
The number of divorces is on the rise.
Is this growth?
A few lucky individuals benefited from IT (call it ITeS or ICE if you like). That does not mean the whole of India is progressing.
With due respect to the burgeoning IT and BPO industry, its benefits have not percolated to the masses. It is restricted to a few urban centres and the English speaking middle-class.
What about the hundreds of thousands of Indians living in interior India? What about Sanjay from Bhusaval? What are the employment opportunities available to him? Will he have to head for Mumbai and be part of that living hell -- its slums? No wonder crimes like looting and cheating are on the rise.
The new breed of communication-savvy politicians is, like the corporate honchos, talking about making India a superpower by 2040 (I remember Vision 2020 being tom-tommed with equal enthusiasm some years ago). How on earth is that going to happen? Just by talking about it.
I do not How this this going to be true. The biggest hurdle in development of India is Trade Union. These are the vultures on growing India.No body wants to work. I was reading Daiky Ajit today. All major Punjab Towns are flooded with demonstration by trade unions. Kisan Union, Bar association, Transporter union. Teacher union. Elctricity employee union , Safai Karamcharee union . All are on strike. No body is working. So how You can expect India to grow.
I always read new about Punjab electricity Board Going Bankrupt. Usually they blame it to Subsidies, But this is not true.Actually main enemy of Board is its employee. Majorities of them do not want to work. I knew One of the union leader .He get 20,000 paid by board every month, but I have never seen him doing a 20 Rupees Job.But You can see him always on strike .Same thing in Rampuraphool Town government spent billion of Rupees for Sewerage plan, but Cleaners did not like it they went on strike. so whole money is in Gutter. Traders do not want to pay the tax , if Tax dept takes action, they go on strike.
And at the last people like m e when step out India, They start blaming India for its underdevelopment. They praise Canada and Us for development. I want to ask one question from these Guys. ?
Did they try to hide a single cent from Canadian Govt. and in India did they pay a single cent as Tax. ?
This is another answer for Question !!!!

Handover Chandigarh to Punajb -Akali Dal

Adopting once again a aggressive strategy over Chandigarh dispute Akali dal has asked Union Govt to Hand over Chandigarh to Punjab immediately since it was built for Punjab. Sukhbir Badal firebrand leader and president of SAD said that Congress govt at center is continuously giving a step motherly treatment.
The SAD President has criticised the central government for taking a unilateral decision whereby the Punjab Governor will no longer remain the UT Administrator.
Describing it as “dangerous for the nation’s stability”, SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal said Punjab would not take the decision lying down and his party would ask Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to take up the matter with the Union Government.
Speaking at the SAD’s “Punjab Vichar Sammelan”, he said, “Chandigarh was built for Punjab and it will be prudent for the Centre not to take any decision regarding it without consulting Punjab”. He said by such initiatives the Union Government appeared to be running away from its commitment to transfer the city to Punjab. A special resolution had been passed on this at the sammelan.
Citing the principle of a parent state retaining the capital city, he said there was no rationale behind denying Punjab its legitimate right in this regard. “There has been a totally unjustified and inordinate delay in transferring the city to Punjab and Punjabis have been forced to make unparalleled sacrifices in a prolonged struggle forced on them by the Centre’s apathy,” he added.
The SAD president called upon “all Punjabis, irrespective of their ideological or political affiliations, to unite for the cause of securing justice for the state with regard to Chandigarh and other Punjabi speaking areas left out of Punjab as well as on the brazen discrimination meted out to the people of the state on the issue of its river waters.”
“The Riparian Principle, followed nationally and internationally in every river water dispute, continues to be flouted in the case of Punjab. This discrimination must end,” he added.
He cautioned the Centre not to do anything with regard to Chandigarh that altered its administrative structure without taking Punjab into confidence.

Akali Dal brainstorming session begins in Shimla
Shimla, The two-day ‘Vichar Baithak’ (brainstorming session) of Punjab’s ruling Shiromani Akali Dal began Friday at the Peterhoff hotel here, which witnessed the expulsion of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jaswant Singh last month.“The brainstorming session begins this (Friday) morning in which more than 100 party top leaders, including cabinet ministers, legislators and MPs, will discuss various internal issues,” Harcharan Bains, media adviser to the chief minister, told told while talking to media persons
He said various issues ranging from strengthening the base of the party in Punjab and other states, to its future course of strategy during the forthcoming assembly elections, would be discussed.
“During the next two days, four sessions would be held. The session would begin with the address of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal,” he added.
Regarding the lavish spending on the stay of the leaders during the session, Bains said: “It was the wish of the junior Badal (Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal) to give a new look to the party, prepare the party for “generation next”. This was the first kind of initiative taken by the party. Our aim is just to dispel the myth that the party is a ‘gurdwara’ party (orthodox party).”
Most of the SAD leaders are staying at the Oberoi’s five-star Cecil hotel, where a room costs between Rs.13,000 and Rs.30,000.
“The entire hotel has been booked by the SAD for three days (from Sep 10 to 13),” an official of the hotel said.
The party is also hosting a lavish lunch for its leaders at Wildflower Hall, one of India’s luxury resort hotels near here, Sep 12.
The venue of the meeting has been converted into a fortress with a large police force being deployed, and no mediaperson being allowed to enter both the Peterhoff and the Cecil hotel.

Sukhbir Wants Punjab to be Decalared as SAZ

: Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has demanded the Central Government to declare Punjab as Special Agricultural Zone (SAZ) on the lines of Special Economic Zones (SEZ).
Punjab having 1.3 per cent geographical area of the country was contributing 70 per cent wheat and 40 per cent rice in the national pool.
Interacting with media at Village Bahmani Wala near Jalabad, Sukhabir, said: "The Union Government should recognise the role of Punjab in making India self-sufficient on food security front and time has come that it should come out with a long term package to enable Punjab farmers to increase agricultural production to meet the demand."
He said on the corporate pattern of SEZs, the entire Punjab should be declared as SAZ with free power supply to the farms, tax-free on fertilizers, pesticides, seeds and diesel.
The plan would help to increase the marketing and export of agro products at price-linked rates, Sukhbir added.
He demanded the Union government to reimburse Rs 3160 crore being spent by the state government to provide free power to the farms, and also Rs 3400 crore to revitalize the old canal irrigation system.
Drawing attention of the people on the NASA's warning that the increasing use of ground water would convert Punjab into a desert, Sukhbir urged the people not to exploit ground water.
Sukhbir expressed confidence that, with the hard work and determination of farmers coupled with support of state government, would exceed the last year's production target and achieve a record production of 140 Lakh Metric Tonnes of paddy this year।

A towering athlete in his days, Parduman SIngh won the shot put and discus gold medals in the 1954 Asian Games in Manila and followed it up in the next edition of the Games in Tokyo in 1958 with the shot put gold (with a record of 15.04m) and the discus silver. He added the discus silver in the Jakarta Games in 1962.

A tremandous show of guts and determination of Parduman at the Jakarta Asian Games in 1962 when, two days before the discus final, he broken his Jaw in a practice session and he won a medal with broken Jaw
Winning his first National title in shot put in Madras in 1958, Parduman Singh went on to remain undefeated in the event in the National for a decade. He also took the National discus titles in 1954, 1958 and 1959. He also represented the country in the 1954 and 1958 Commonwealth Games.
Born at Bhagta Bhai, Bathinda, on October 15, 1927, Parduman Singh retired as Honorary Captain from the Army in 1972. He has been keeping indifferent health since 1999, the year in which he was conferred, rather belatedly, the Arjuna Award for `lifetime contribution.'
